The babies came on time. Than my son wanted to go into the bathroom at the evening of 2nd of march 2009, he suddenly heard a low beep. We looked over and found Amaryllis in the new scratching ton eating the placenta of her first baby. The little baby was allready cleaned. Amaryllis didn’t want to leave the ton, so I kept watch, for no baby to fall. After bringing the second and third baby into the world, Amaryllis and my son fell asleep. At her belly I could see in evidence, that there was someone inside who wanted to come out. But first Amaryllis needed a snooze and about one hour later she had again enough energy to bear the last two kittens. Than she was ready, I stood up to her and the little family mooved into the playpen.
Since then the kittens become scaled regularly and gain weight very well. Now the first photos are made. Two of them already opened the first eye. Their voices became much stronger and they start crawling out of their den.
Amaryllis is very calm and on the spot, as soon as she hears the first cry of one of their babies. At least twice a day she makes a round tour through our home. Thereby i noticed that she doesn’t use the cat litter pan in the babies room but leaves her number one and number two outside.
